During 2019 while I was the IT Manager for the Office of Electoral Commissioner, I was involved with the DATACENTER DESIGN and Project Manager/Technical Assistant for the Construction of OECs new DataCenter. I made several trips to SEOUL, South Korea to help design and put together this project so the end product will be a Robust and a Reliable DataCenter ideal for OEC Office use.
Im happy to say that it was a successful project, OEC is the only Government Office in Samoa with a proper redundant Tier 2 DataCenter with their own Autonomous Number of AS139679 and a /24 Global IPV4 address – 103.143.149.0/24. Ive worked with my team at the time to make the application to APNIC applying for the AS No plus /24 Global Ip address for OEC to be able to fully utilize their Datacenter so they can be independent from any ISP.
This is a milestone for any government office to have such set up and be independent from ISP IP blocks. OEC has a Multi Home Setup where two upstreams provide redundant internet connections where their /24 is being advertised both direction.
